Jordan-wadi rum, Petra arava valley 3 days tour


First day

We begin our tour, meeting at the Arava border crossing in Eilat at 8:00.

After a short city tour in Aqaba we travel to Jordan’s legendary sandstone area of

Wadi ram. We go off road and cross red sand dunes, giant granite crags and pass

The famous seven pillars of wisdom describe by Lawrence of Arabia.

We visit the famous spring at “Haz Ali” inscriptions made by the Nabatean and the Thamudic tribes

By evening, we reach a Bedouin camp –tent with modern facilities.

Here we have our rich evening meal, and enjoyed an authentic Arabian night.


Second day

After breakfast we board our 4wd vehicle, drive off road to Petra between giant Sand dunes, and pass thru the famous hanging arches.

The rock-hewn city of Petra is one of the world’s archaeological wonders.

The nabateans lost civilization, which was discovered in 1812.

At the entrance of Petra, we are entering to the beautiful siq canyon, walking through its canyons Towering walls, leading us to the valley of Petra.

In front of us, we see the famous “khazane”. Continuance we tour the lost city with

Her grandiose buildings, temples, tombs, and theater craved in the red sandstone.

We stop for lunch at the restaurant within the site. After lunch, we commence to walk to the jeeps.

For does who find it difficult to return by foot, it is possible to hire horse-drawn carriages, to take them to the entrance.

Third day

 

In the morning we begin our journey on the steep mountain 4X4 route that wind its way down the Edom Mountains. This dramatic scenic route, Wadi Namla takes us all the way down to the Arava Valley that runs the whole length these beautiful mountains.
Driving to the north of the Arava Valley we reach the Moav Mountains of the Dead Sea area and their famous canyons such as Wadi hassa and wadi arnon.  These hidden canyons, in the heart of the Jordanian desert, are narrow and deep, flow year-round with warm spring water and natural rock pools.

 

We depart Jordan from sh’ hossin border crossing by evening.
